CANDID MEANS OPEN. TRANSPARENT. UNFILTERED.

We chose the name The Candid Coop because we never wanted to share only the finished product. We wanted to talk openly about the real process of building something from the ground up—the planning, learning, experimenting, mistakes, changes, accomplishments, and everything that happens in between.

Our story began when we purchased our property and named it Moonlit Meadows. We built the coop, welcomed our ducks, began collecting duck eggs, and started creating the garden and homestead we had imagined.

From there, we built our cottage bakery, transformed part of our family kitchen into a dedicated bakery pantry, and eventually designed and built a mobile beverage trailer that could carry our food, beverages, and hospitality beyond the meadow.

What began at home has taken us to fairs, festivals, weddings, private celebrations, schools, workplaces, and community events throughout Virginia.

The Candid Coop continues to grow—but every new branch comes from the same place: a family building, creating, learning, and sharing the story candidly along the way.
